Well folks, after another great wedding this past weekend at Woodstock Inn & Resort, we have officially wrapped up our 2017 season. Huge props to Dan, Jason, Chris, Randall, Brian and Josh for providing super fun dance parties. Shout out to all the great venues and vendors that we get to work at and with. And of course a thank you to all of the wonderful couples we get to meet and provide music for on their wedding day. Our best season yet!

"Dan was absolutely astounding and exceptional at our wedding. He exceeded all of our expectations. We had an array of generations at our wedding, and every single one of those generations danced the night away. The dance floor was always full from the first song to the last, and Dan was always able to gauge and read the crowd to determine what to play, and when to play it. His own touch and spin on songs, along with the transitions between them were flawless. Dan was interactive with the crowd, but as also extremely professional; he even checked in with us (the bride and groom) if someone had requested a particular song, and how we would feel if he ended the night playing a certain song combination (which was amazing and a perfect way to end the night). "Dan was absolutely incredible—the dance floor at our wedding was packed the ENTIRE night. I think all of our family and friends commented on how amazing our DJ was the next day. We booked Dan after a quick phone call chatting about what we were looking for and his DJ style, met him once before the big day to go over logistics and details, gave him a list of songs we wanted for the ceremony and a couple of songs we definitely didn't want him to play. He took it from there and NAILED it. When Nanny Frieda wanted an old classic Italian song, and Dan wasn't sure we wanted that kind of music, he asked if it was OK if he played it (of course) and looked it up on his phone for her. He blended oldies, 90's music, hip-hop, house and everything in between for the most fun dance party I've ever been to. "Selecting Evan and Wedding DJ VT was by far one of the best choices we made during our wedding process. I can not recommend Evan more highly! My husband and I were having a classier and more refined event at The Woodstock Inn and we didn’t want to have a stereotypical cheesy wedding DJ that would hog the mic or infuse an atmosphere that didn’t reflect us, so I worked hard to find a professional who fit our personalities and was willing to work with us to create the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding.

Evan was incredibly responsive from my very first email and so willing to work with us and create the atmosphere that we wanted for our cocktail hour, dinner, and then dancing portion of the evening. Originally my fiance thought maybe we could just make our own playlists and have a friend run the music, but I knew that when our actual wedding day came, we’d be glad to have a professional on hand to not only handle all the logistics of music and speakers, but to also read our crowd and change things up depending on the mood.

The greatest asset to hiring a DJ like Evan is that he’ll work with you and listen to the types of music and songs you like, but then he’ll bring his own talent and abilities as a disc jockey to read your group and steer the music in the direction that THEY need to keep them dancing and enjoying themselves till the very end.

I never worried a single second about the music. On the phone, Evan’s relaxed, laid back, but organized and confident personality was evident, and that gave my husband and I peace of mind that he would have everything under control.

Evan genuinely felt like a friend and an extension of our group on our wedding day. I loved looking over and seeing him have so much fun prepping the next song and doing his thing, and at one point in the evening I realized that we were all having so much fun but he wasn’t even playing some of the songs we requested and that’s because he was learning what our group of friends liked and then followed that lead and was able to craft our evening on the fly. It was phenomenal. He blended my husband’s classier taste of blues and jazz, with my sassier taste of pop and top 40, into an evening that our friends and family haven’t stopped talking about.

"Our DJ was Dan Cahill and he was so easy to work with. My husband and I kept in contact with him throughout the planning stages and provided him with a list of our eclectic taste in music. HE ROCKED IT!!! He arrived 2 hours early, was very professional, and provided microphone and speaker enhancement for our outdoor ceremony. In our cocktail hour he played a perfect mix to please guests of all ages and it was all on vinyl. The sound quality of the vinyl matched perfectly with the Vermont farm wedding.
