!!!! Important Notice From Jennifer Ball!!
Letter from Jennifer Ball
Dear Vendors,
This message is not an easy one to write, but it comes from a place of honesty, love, and deep respect for each of you. After a lot of reflection, it’s clear that this year is simply asking too much of everyone — emotionally, financially, and time-wise — and we’ve made the difficult decision to pause our 13th annual Christmas Cheer event for 2025.
This year, December 21st falls on a Sunday, which also happens to be my mom’s birthday. Sundays are a BIG day — church gatherings, family traditions, and for many, the juggling of split or extended holiday celebrations. It’s a day that already carries a lot of meaning and responsibility, and we realized it’s not one we can or should compete with this year.
Over the past five years, as we’ve grown from a simple community Santa party into a full-blown Hallmark-style holiday vendor spectacular, we’ve been blessed to sell out 25–40 vendor spots and raise $2,000–$5,000 annually for Christmas Cheer. Unfortunately, this year we had only 4 vendors and 2 food trucks signed up, and rather than push forward, I’d much rather give you the gift of time — time to be with your families, friends, and loved ones during such a meaningful weekend.
💝 In Honor of My Mom
In place of the event, I ask one simple thing:
👉 On December 21st, please do one kind deed.
Big or small — a smile, a donation, a helping hand — kindness was my mom’s favorite tradition.
💌 Refunds & Giving Back
All booth fees will, of course, be fully refunded to the vendors who had already signed up. If, however, you feel it in your heart to still give, donations can be made directly to Christmas Cheer of Alamance here:

They are experiencing one of the largest needs lists they’ve ever had. They are accepting:
🎁 Toys & gifts for all ages
🧦 Stocking stuffers
🧴 Elderly care items (lotions, socks, personal items — this list is just as long and often forgotten)
I personally will be purchasing food gift cards to help shine a little extra light on a few families this season.
✨ Looking Ahead
This is not goodbye — just a pause. I’m already dreaming up something totally different for next year, possibly during the summer, and I truly hope you’ll come out and support then.
Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, and for being part of this community that means so much to me and my family. Wishing you a blessed holiday season and a joyful New Year filled with love, peace, and a little extra magic.
With heartfelt gratitude,
❤️
