To all the men and women who have served our country: Thank you. We cannot pretend that we fully grasp all you have and continue to sacrifice each and every day. War is a terrible thing. In a perfect world, we would not even know this word. But here we are. In the midst of the horror, the confusion, the sacrifice, the pain, the struggles, the fear, the unholy, untold, and the brokenness, we thank you. We thank you for your courage. Your valor. Your heart. For your willingness to put yourselves before so many others. We thank your families. We are well aware of the haunting truth that the battle is not over once you've returned home, but rather continues everyday for so many. We love you. We support you. And we are here for you.
