Official Announcement: Los Angeles BKS Festival Postponed to 2026
Dear dance community,
After much reflection, and with a heavy heart, I want to officially announce that the Los Angeles BKS Festival, originally scheduled for September 19–21, 2025, will be postponed to 2026.
This has not been an easy decision, but one I’ve made with deep care and responsibility toward our community.
Locally, we are facing serious challenges in Los Angeles, including increased immigration raids, economic strain on studios and dancers, and ongoing uncertainty around cultural events. On a national level, the implementation of Real ID regulations adds more complexity for domestic travel.
Globally, many of our international artists and guests are expressing concern about traveling to the U.S. due to visa difficulties, rising travel costs, and global instability. All of these factors combined make it difficult to produce the kind of safe, welcoming, and world-class event we’ve all come to expect.
This decision is made to protect the integrity of the festival, the safety of everyone involved, and the incredible community we’ve built over nearly a decade.
If you’ve already purchased your pass, you will be contacted soon with information about transferring your ticket to 2026 or requesting a refund.
Thank you for your continued support, love, and understanding. We’ll be back and when we are, it will be with more strength, unity, and passion than ever.
