Y’all can you believe it’s that time?? Christmas sessions are here and will be available starting Saturdays in November and December.

This year we are going fancy! Think traditional Ralph Lauren Christmas! Dark cozy wood, neutral brown, and greens with pops of red, plaid and gold accents! These will be held in an all new location and are exclusive to Holland House photography clients. Dawn your sparkly Christmas dress and suit and tie, or bring those cozy sweaters or matching jammies! Anything goes! Sessions are approximately 15 minutes long and include your edited digital images with a print release.

I don’t have a mock up yet, but if you have seen my set ups in the past and trust my vision, you are welcome to go ahead and pre-book. If you want to wait, I should have my set up complete in a couple of weeks! I’m trying something a little different here this year and doing online bookings for these! Good afternoon! With elementary school picture day coming up I’ve had several questions That I thought it might be helpful to talk about here!

Number one, what is a memory? A memory mate is an 8 x 10 print with both the child’s individual photo and a team or class photo, their name, and a decorative themed border. For fall school photos we are not doing class pictures. Class pictures will be done in the spring so skipped the memory mate option for this one!

That leads to question number two, will there be spring photos? The answer is yes for the elementary school! We will do photos in the spring!

And finally, question number three, is what does “retouching” entail? You may notice on your order form that it says “basic blemish removal and retouching is included”, but there is a box you can check if you prefer your child’s photo not be retouched. What does that mean exactly? For me, blemish removal and retouching for school photos is very very basic. I’m talking, removing a scratch, a sore or a little breakout. And a lot of times it’s more of a “tone down” the a complete removal. I do a minimal amount of teeth whitening if it is needed and I clean up clothing (link, wrinkles and stains.) I NEVER alter body shape or size and I do not remove freckles, moles or anything permanent! I will not make your child look like someone they are not. The whole point of school photos is to remember how your kiddos were at this time in their life and if little Johnny got a blackeye playing his first game of tackle football this weekend and you want to remember that just make a note on the order form!

I read every single order form and do all of the editing, print ordering and packaging myself so feel free to write in any special requests you may have! I pride myself on personal service and even though I’m human and make mistakes sometimes I will always make it right for you!

Okay guys, unfortunately I can no longer take Venmo payments. It’s just not safe! Several of my payments from today have gone to the fraud account despite Venmo telling me that the account has been shut down. A police report has been made, and I will find out who has done this to me!

Buffalo Prairie Middle School picture day is WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 16th! (Mallory Elementary will be next Wednesday the 23rd) Forms were handed out at BPMS last week, but if your child did not make it home with one, you may message me here on Facebook, send me an email at [email protected] or TEXT me at 417-824-0993. All students will be photographed for the yearbook whether an order placed. If you have any questions or need payment arrangements let me know!

ATTENTION!! I hate that I even have to post this, but someone has duplicated my Venmo account and some of my customers have been paying them thinking that they are paying me. Venmo has supposedly suspended this account, but I have no idea just how much money I’ve lost. So, moving forward if you intend to pay for your Photos with Venmo, please let me know so that I can make sure you’re paying the correct profile. If this continues, unfortunately Venmo will no longer be a payment option for sports and school photos.
Updating to add: so far it seems this scam account was created early this week and it’s just affecting transactions from flag football this last Tuesday and school photos today.

You all have asked, I’ve analyzed my calendar over and over and I’ve come up with a day for in studio school pictures! Monday September 21st from 11am-4pm you can come by anytime and get your school head shot taken! This is perfect for homeschool families, those that don’t attend Buffalo schools or those that missed school picture day and don’t want to wait for retake day! The backdrop and order form will be the same. No appointments are necessary, first come first serve! Let me know if you have any questions or if you’re planning to come by!

Our first picture day of the school year is next Thursday September 10th at Buffalo High School! (BPMS is the 16th and Mallory the 23rd) All students will get their picture taken, whether there is an order placed or not. Especially the seniors as this will be the photo for the senior composite. Forms are headed to the school office to be handed out to your student in advance. As always, let me know if you have any questions at all, if your student doesn’t get a form home or you’d like to order in advance! I look forward to seeing all your high schoolers happy faces next week!!
