I have so many herbs planted outside and I don’t want them to die! I prep for winter by moving as much as I can into pots. When I run out of room, I’ll do little propagation pots like I do here. I forgot to add…. Lavender and Rosemary do great with this approach too. Let me know if you like this kind of content and I’ll do more. Xo 😘

New interview feature: “My first interaction with Zoe, was at the MOUND Farmer’s Market. I was a new vendor there, and completely new to the surrounding environment. I had a lot of purchases from locals and had some banter here and there. When Zoe approached she was beaming with positive energy with a grin from ear to ear. An energy like that can be quite infectious. We chatted about her history being the previous floral vendor there. We talked of our similarities: having small children, loving nature, loving art. We obviously hit it off. We’ve since had time to spend together and I’m still very much allured by the distinctiveness of …well EVERYTHING about her. Let’s see if you agree. Overstimulated is a feeling I experience on prep and bake days. It’s 5am, and the various breads need different attention at different times to create the perfect loaf. If I miss a timer, I risk damaging the product. Sometimes my littles wake up early with me due to all the sounds in the kitchen. They then proceed to casually ask for an all star breakfast. I’m usually already feeling rushed before 6:30 and still haven’t had a coffee ☕️
I try and handle the mom role, and the lil biz role I’ve created for myself. I feel often that it’s strained bc I can’t do either with perfection (or a good mood).
Then I remember that I chose this! And I’m blessed that I have the choice! Many mothers have to (or want to) go to a full time office job and leave their littles in daycare or school. I had that option and I chose not to. Because of that choice…. THIS is the really hard and beautiful life I live. I took my supplements eventually. I had a coffee, eventually, and now It’s 11am on a Friday and I’m at the playground with my girls. And I’m utterly blessed and exhausted. And a nap sometime later will feel great. I love the beautiful in between moments of bliss that I get to experience on the other side of the difficulty. That is what I do it all for.
