Kevin McCarthy is a professional musician, solo entertainer, and songwriter based in Western New York. He sings, plays guitar, and has a full-band sound with his own backing tracks. Most of his tracks are recorded with real musicians from WNY in his studio. This unique, live-feel, approach gives him the flexibility to cover a variety of genres of music, with over 1,000 songs in his catalog.
Inducted in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2009 as a founding member of his original rock group, Kevin is also 4-Time winner at the Buffalo Music Awards, he was twice voted Top Solo Artist of the Year (’00 & ’01), his original band was also twice voted Top Original Group of the Year (’95 & ’96). Since 2008, he has been a fully insured member of the National Association of Mobile Event Professionals. He has released numerous recordings, both solo and band, and has written songs for the Buffalo Bills and for other numerous projects.
Since 1985, Kevin has performed throughout WNY, U.S., Canada, and recently performed multiple shows across Ireland. He has been performing music as his full-time career for over 25 years. For four straight years, he was chosen to play on the Labatt Blue Outfitters Tour which traveled to many cities, festivals, and venues throughout the U.S. He opened for Rick Springfield at University at Buffalo Stadium and shared the stage with Dave Mason, Rusted Root, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many other national acts. More recently, in 2019, he played a sold-out show in Buffalo with the Irish band, the High Kings. He plans on touring on touring the south in the spring including returning to NC, GA, & FL and will tour Ireland and other parts of Europe again the summer 2024.
