In December, we had Countdown to Christmas games each week, in January, we played a Grammy Music game, a Space Trivia game, and we did a 2020 Year End review- it’s always free to play!! This year, I’m a Grateful Potato. The holidays will look very different for all of us, and I’m so thankful for all of the friends- old and new- that join in our trivia game every week. We’re not just Buenie locals anymore, we have teams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Wisconsin as well as teams from Edwards, Denver and Durango- we even had a team join us from Ska Brewery while they enjoyed a pint or 2. Thanks to everyone for playing, we look forward to Tuesday night laughs and I will keep the games coming. Love you all!! 😍

I’ve always been a huge fan of Alex Trebek and, as a trivia hostess, I’ve paid tribute to him a few times over the years. The success of Jeopardy made it cool to be a geek and made trivia a fun pastime for everyone. In 2014, Alex broke a world record for hosting more episodes of a game show than anyone else in history- who held the record before he broke it? RIP Alex, you’ll be missed.

From last weeks Fall themed trivia- When photosynthesis slows in the fall, chlorophyll production slows and ceases, causing other pigments to emerge in leaves. Yellow and orange leaves are created by xylophylls and beta-carotene- they are what makes egg-yolks yellow and carrots orange. Some leaves, like those on this Maple tree, trap a substance within them that causes this beautiful RED color- what is that substance? Tuesday night’s game about advertising was a lot of fun!! Did you know that poor Charlie was rejected so often he inspired an unofficial holiday? April 6th of every year is “National Sorry, Charlie Day,” a day for us to reflect on all of the rejection that we have faced and overcome in our lives. What company used poor Charlies’ numerous disappointments for their TV commercials?
