In 2010, after retiring from the Baton Rouge Police Department, Darrell Johnson had a desire to start a catering business. As a result of that desire, DJs Catering was birthed. DJs Catering offers a variety of smoked and fried meats, entrees, delectable vegetables, casseroles, finger foods and desserts. The smoked meats are cooked on a commercial Southern Pride cooker with pecan wood. The smoke fr

om the pecan wood infuses the meat to give it a very different smoked flavor. Johnson is known for his specialty – White Chocolate Bread Pudding. DJs Catering serves wedding receptions, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, graduations and seasonal events. We offer on or off-site catering, depending on your specific needs.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for the Teacher Appreciation Event presented by Post 502 and catered by none other than DJs Catering!

We truly appreciate all of the amazing teachers and staff who dedicate so much time, energy, and heart to our students and community each and every day. It was an honor to celebrate you and show a small token of our gratitude.
