“Not Asking for a Miracle. I’m Building One.”
Eight years ago today, I wrote something I didn’t fully understand at the time — but now I feel it in my bones:
“It’s interesting that in the Bible, we never see the disciples asking Jesus for a personal miracle. Maybe it’s because the masses are looking for a miracle... but the World Changers are looking for a mentor. Maybe they were seeking a deeper level — how to BECOME MORE versus GET more. How to CREATE miracles, not just receive them.”
Today, that quote ain’t just deep... it’s personal. It’s my reality.
Right now, I’m living out of an Airbnb — not because I’m on vacation, but because I don’t have a permanent roof over my head. I’m fighting to stay housed so I can receive the medical therapy I need.
I walk with a walker. Sometimes I need a wheelchair. I’m scheduled for 20–30 more sessions of occupational and physical therapy, but they can’t even send the nurse unless I have an address.
I want to work. I want to earn. But right now, I physically can’t clock in and do a 9-to-5.
I didn’t lose everything because of addiction or bad choices.
I lost everything doing what I love — helping others, running restaurants, and giving people flavor they’ll never forget.
All it took was a slip and fall... and my whole life changed.
