We have a winner! Jim Rummy was attending the East End Pub Crawl and Ciara Campbell correctly guessed the route we took during the crawl. We started at Buckeye Lake Moose 2434, Big Stan's Bar & Grill, Port Smokehouse, Amvets Post 51, Horvath’s Harbor & then Champs Pizza and Pub.

There were lots of views and many guesses and nearly everyone guessed correctly. Ciara responded to our post on the Buckeye Lake Pirates page at 10:12 am on Sunday. PM me your address Ciara and I’ll mail our Mill Dam Corner Grille coupon along with a $25 gift card to the Hatchet House.

This was the second year for the East End Pub Crawl and they had a Mardi Gras theme. We saw lots of people out in costume wearing beads and having fun. We ran into a few pirates too.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday with a twist today; Jim Rummy was out celebrating the East End Pub Crawl, and we took pictures with fans around the lake. Can you figure out the route we took? Help us retrace his stops with fans. The first person to list the correct order of his stops will receive a $5 coupon (good for $5 off any food purchase of $20 or more) from the Mill Dam Corner Grille and a $25 gift card from the Hatchet House in Heath.

Here’s the list of our stops in alphabetical order; Amvets Post 51, Big Stan's Bar & Grill, Buckeye Lake Moose 2434, Champs Pizza and Pub, Horvath’s Harbor & Port Smokehouse. Your challenge is to look at the pictures and figure out the correct path we took. List the bars in the correct order we drove in a response below and we’ll announce the winner on Monday.

It was a cold and windy day, but that didn’t curb the enthusiasm of the guests we met out celebrating Mardi Gras! It was fun seeing so many costumes and celebrating with fellow Pirates out having a great time!

We have a winner! Jim Rummy was at the Chef Shack. It’s located in Buckeye Lake on Rt 79. They were on the Treasure Hunt during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. Chef Shack serves great food in a relaxed and comfortable setting. During warmer months the outside patio is very popular to sit and relish a great meal with a cool beverage while watching passersby enjoying the quaint village.

The Shack Burger is my personal favorite burger around the lake, and their fish tacos are pretty awesome too. They usually feature tasty daily specials and offer cold beverages.

Speaking of beverages, the Chef Shack shares a building with the Buckeye Lake Brewery, on a hot day their draft beer with a bobber is a real treat.

There were lots of views and many guesses and some guessed correctly. Anyone who has been to Chef Shack may have noticed the beautiful Gayla Smith artwork hanging under the register. Booth space for the Pirate Fest are selling out quickly. As of Feb 18, we only have 6 of the 10x10 spaces left and 7 of the 6x6 spaces remaining.

See the show layout below, spaces in yellow are open with 10x10 and green with 6x6.

We are no longer accepting applications for food trucks and beverage trucks (we are full). We try to limit the types of booth spaces we sell so there aren't a lot of vendors selling the same items. You can request an application by emailing Kelly, [email protected]

We have a winner! Jim Rummy was at Louies Corner House. It’s located on Rt 79 in the village of Buckeye Lake. They were on the Treasure Hunt during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. Louie’s offers a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Their Friday night Karaoke is very popular in the area. The night Jim Rummy was there we saw some very talented performers on stage!

There were lots of views and many guesses and some guessed correctly. Anyone who has been to Louie’s probably recognized Louie’s Big Bird, the yellow character on the bar posing with Jim Rummy.

We're looking for Craft and Specialty vendors for our Pirate Festival in central Ohio.

Now accepting vendor applications for the 2nd Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. The Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest is Friday May 16, Saturday May 17 & Sunday May 18. We’re looking for vendors who sell items of interest to Pirates, Steampunks & Mermaids, along with Lake décor type items and crafts. We attracted lots of locals for shopping too.

This family friendly festival will feature a Port Royal Pirate Marketplace and a Pirate Treasure Hunt by Land and Sea. We welcome everyone - especially Pirates, Steampunk and Mermaids along with their enthusiasts!

Admission is FREE and open to the public! Free parking too. Buckeye Lake is 30 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio. The Marketplace outdoor Vendor Tradeshow will be located at the Harbor Community Center aka Port Royal.

We are limiting food trucks to 4 and we already have 6 applications on file to choose from.

We have a winner! Jim Rummy was at Hereinafter Cocktail Tavern. It’s located on the North side of the lake near Sellars Point, on North Bank Rd NE. They were on the Treasure Hunt during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. Hereinafter serves classic unpretentious cocktails alongside great food, wine and beer in a very relaxed and comfortable setting. Speaking of wine, they host a wine retail shop with a really good selection of vibrant wines. And, if you don’t have Valentines Day dinner plans yet, make your reservations today at Hereinafter Cocktail Tavern!
