She only mentioned it once.
Months before the wedding, while we were choosing rentals together, she paused on the mason jars and said she wanted one at every place setting because “they’re just so him.”
It was such a simple comment, but the way she said it told me everything.
Then, just a few hours before she was supposed to walk down the aisle, we discovered the 350 mason jars had accidentally been left off the rental order.
We could have substituted a different glass.
Most people probably wouldn’t have noticed.
But I would have.
Because I remembered that conversation from months before.
So while she was spending the morning getting ready to marry her best friend, we were tracking down 350 mason jars, clearing store shelves, and making sure every place setting looked exactly how she had envisioned.
She never knew there had been a problem.
And that’s exactly how it should be.
Wedding coordination isn’t just about timelines, logistics, and vendor management. It’s about listening closely enough to remember the little things—the passing comments, the tiny details, the moments that might seem insignificant to someone else but mean something to your couple.
Because when your wedding day arrives, your only job should be marrying your best friend.
