It’s a sad day in the Summer Celebration organization. We must again make another post that the 2022 event will not happen. Since our entire event is based solely on sponsorships, there are not any funds to be able to put on the Summer Celebration.

SAVE THE DATES!!! June 3-5 2022!!!

The Summer Celebration committee is excited to announce that planning has begun for the 2022 festival. In another effort to provide separation for everyone, we have moved up the dates for our festival. We will be celebrating our “40th” anniversary (should have been in 2020 but we all know what happened). So with that in mind we will be going back to the beginning and focusing on more contests and the community as it was in 1980. Be on the lookout for more information and posts about upcoming events and activities.

Congratulations to our very own Payton Baxter!! She was recently crowned as the 2021 National American Miss Ohio. We were honored to have Payton represent us proudly as the 2015 Celebration Queen!!!

It’s a very sad day amongst the Summer Celebration committee as we learned of the passing of our good friend Bea Turk. Bea was a founding member of Brunswick Old Fashioned Days and an honorary board member of the Summer Celebration committee. She served as treasurer for many years and you could always count on seeing her in the information booth every day of the festival. She was loved and respected by us all and will be greatly missed. Thank you Bea for all of the heart, dedication, time and energy that you gave to us all for so many years!!!

The Summer Celebration board has had many virtual meetings and brainstorming sessions, but keep coming back to the same result and conclusion. As the same as last year, unfortunately the 2021 Summer Celebration will also have to be cancelled. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the states legislature not yet lifting the massive gathering restrictions as well as the financial deficit, it would be impossible to try to put on the festival as we all have known and loved over the past 39 years. Should we be able to get back together next year, we want to get back to our starting roots and have more of a community oriented event.
Keep on the lookout to our page for any future events , changes and/or updates.
We are hoping to be able to see everyone in 2022!

COVID may have made us cancel our 2020 festival, but that didn’t stop our 2019 Queen Kaiya Bundy as she continues to proudly represent the festival and community and laid wreaths at Westview Cemetery
We continue to be in this together! Stay strong Brunswick

No festival and nothing on grounds, but that doesn’t stop the 2019 Queen Kaiya Bundy and her court from still being there! These girls have done an amazing job representing our festival and city of Brunswick throughout the state of Ohio since their crowning last June. Even though their entire year didn’t go as planned or expected, they have still continued to make the Summer Celebration committee proud.

Well, it would have been only an hour until opening day of the 2020 festival, but due to the unfortunate times, we will be missing everyone and the grounds will be empty. Don’t worry though! There have been talks of trying to pull some events together later in the summer if at all possible so keep an eye on our website and FaceBook page for updates and any exciting news we may have to share! On behalf of the Summer Celebration committee, Thank You for your past and continued support and we can’t wait to see all the smiling faces in 2021!!
