ISSUE Project Room is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Douglas, Chris McIntyre and Adam Shore to the organization’s Board of Directors!
Chris Douglas is the founder of Boundary Road Productions, a New York company that helps ambitious live work find the structure, audience, and financial model it needs to last. BRP produced Julio Torres’s Color Theories, which earned a 2026 Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience. He has worked across high-growth technology companies including MongoDB, Facebook, and Yahoo, bringing experience in partnerships, technology, and helping early ideas find structure and support. He currently heads Growth at Quantifi, a financial software company. A Johns Hopkins graduate with a degree in economics and a minor in music composition, Douglas also guest lectures through the Whiting School of Engineering’s Center for Leadership Education. He is excited to support ISSUE’s next chapter by helping build the audiences, partnerships, and systems that uplift experimental work without softening its artistic risk.
Chris McIntyre is a Brooklyn-based trombonist, curator, composer, music director, and educator. He has been a member of the ISSUE community since 2004. Known for his expansive engagement with the music of Julius Eastman, McIntyre serves as Director of TILT Brass (co-founder in 2003) and Co-Director and trombonist for Either/Or Ensemble. He specializes in live ensemble work meshing improvisative & interpretive material as a player and as composer and director. He regularly performs with TILT, Either/Or, and American Composers Orchestra, among many others. McIntyre leads a distinguished career as an independent concert programmer in New York (The Kitchen, MATA Festival, Ne(x)tworks, ISSUE) and music director (projects at MoMA and Guggenheim, leading Eastman’s Femenine with SEM & Talea Ensembles and Orchestra of St. Luke’s). He teaches at Mannes School of Music at The New School and in the ACO’s Teaching Artist program. McIntyre brings years of Board experience to his new role at ISSUE having served for organizations including MATA and Tri-Centric Foundation.
