On a recent trip back to Vermont I DJed a bittersweet 2000s night at Nectars. It was great to see some friends and familiar faces but tough to be so restrained and confined to separate spaces. I think the question around bringing back DJ sets over the next year will revolve around finding a balance between safe and fun. I think it’s inevitable that we will have to sacrifice some of the most fun parts of a club night. That said, I was so impressed with the care that took to provide a safe environment (no doubt to their own financial detriment as a bar that is used to packed nights). I also was thrilled with the energy from everyone that came. It really felt like a party and reminded me how great a club night can be. Looking forward nervously to the future for this job I’ve chosen (and I’m starting to feel just the slightest bit crazy for choosing)
