We're tracing the full arc: bomba and plena from the island's Afro-Caribbean roots, Fania-era salsa from the New York streets that shaped it, the Nuyorican soul of Louie Vega and India, hip hop born in the South Bronx, Latin jazz from Miguel Zenón, the raw Afro-Boricua fire of Tego Calderón, and the contemporary sounds of iLe and Bad Bunny.
