Inspired by the Jewish myth of the golem, GOLEMATRIARK reimagines the figure of the creator not as a distant patriarch but as a mother: expansive, intuitive, and generative. Blurring the boundaries between body and object, machine and spirit, and sound and speech – this ritualistic sound-art experience imagines a redefining of collective power. Berman’s custom built “vocal feedback pipes” are made from metal and plastic tubes amplified by microphones, transducers, and digital effects pedals. These sound objects extend and warp the performers’ bodies as they traverse Ashkenazi Jewish folk and sacred traditions through voice and movement.

🚨 Introducing our Frantastic performers ‼️

Slide 1: Back from Sparkly Top, we’re kvelling that Pink Pancake is gracing our Sheffield dream home!! This iconic NYC-based bearded Drag Queen will, as always, be serving you conceptual, gender q***r, club kid, clown! She performs all over the city and is truly the fantasy 💅

Slide 2: Ali Levin is a comedian, storyteller, teaching artist, producer and photographer living each day like it’s her Bat-Mitzvah. She creates original characters and storytelling experiences that breed connectedness, empathy and explore the freaky, deep and dumb. Her comedy has been featured in Refinery 29, FunnyOrDie, and The New York Times.

Slide 3: Sam Szabo is a Brooklyn-based dance/theater artist and dumb bitch in search of beauty and catharsis on the dance floor through ritual, pop iconography, and ghost conjuring (maybe Nanny reboot conjuring too??)

Slide 4: Philip Markle is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Brooklyn Comedy Collective. He was named “Top 5 Q***r Business Leaders” by Time Out NY in 2023 and a “Power Player in Arts in Culture” by AMNY in 2024. He performs regularly all over town and has produced SPARKLE HOUR at the BCC, Joe’s Pub and the NY Comedy Festival. You can listen to his q***r comedy songs on your favorite streaming music platform.

Slide 5: The diva herself, ms Party Girl, FLAMINGGG’s organzing queen and resident DJ Avery Witch-Way was last seen as Messther this Purim. She’s a girl about town, DJing here, dragging there, and ready to serve you the Frantasy you didn’t know you needed ;)
