New year, new me 💖 6 Years Of Magic 🪄

The only constant in life is change, and we must embrace change in order for us to grow. This year started out with big changes for us, a new leadership team, a reigniting of the passion within us, the passion to create something different.

We asked ourselves who we are, and what we stand for. Deep Playa was born in July 2020 on a beach in Fort Tilden out of the chaos of covid, we desired to reconnect, to embrace, but most importantly to DANCE. 💃🪩🕺

Humans started dancing long before we could speak, it’s a primal instinct within us all. It’s an instict we share with many others in the animal kingdom 🦜. Dancing transcends borders, religions, and cultures, it allows us to express and connect.

As humans evolved, our dancing evolved with us, and as part of our evolution, so we must shed our old skin in order to blossom into our next form. In January we shared that we would be evolving and rebranding, so without further ado, we are excited to share our new direction. 🥳

Out with the old, and in with the new. Our old branding served us well, however we want our magic to expand beyond the limits of Burning Man, and out into the default world.

So for our 6th birthday we’ve polished the dust off our image, and are entering our sleek and sexy chapter. 😘

Step into the cosmic portal and whisper your secrets to the other side. ✨

This year we switched things up for CAMP and created 3 separate laser installations. The Cosmic Portal. The Cosmic Pirate Ship. And Fairy Forest laser installation. Each experience showcased the amazing artistic power of lasers, bringing people into another realm. There’s nothing quite like watching smoke filter through a laser beam.

It was such an honor to bring out our creative side and see the smiles on peoples faces. Thank you CAMP for having us present our work.

It’s a new dawn, and a new horizon is upon us 🌕✨

We are evolving, alchemising and starting something fresh — and we’re excited to do it all with you, our amazing community. We’ve heard you and we want to rebuild with you — to create a brand-new collective but with the same amazing vibes, energy, magic and connection, all with a new name. 🪩💕🎶

We’ve started our transition, moving away from the past and maturing into our modern era with a new identity and image — we’re working on our rebirth now and change is coming soon! 🔮🦋
