Over the next few posts, we’ll be announcing our MVT, MVP, and Cy Young Award winners from across the Pine Tar program—recognizing the players who stood out through their performance, leadership, consistency, and impact on their teams🎖️

Before we get to the winners, we want to thank every athlete who represented Pine Tar this season. The work, commitment, energy, and growth we saw throughout the summer is what makes this program what it is. We’re proud of every player who put on the uniform and competed with us 🙌

We are excited to announce that Sam Petrick has been promoted to Director of Sports Performance & Athletic Development at Pine Tar Academy!

Since joining Pine Tar Academy in 2021, Sam has made a tremendous impact on our athletes through his expertise in strength and conditioning, speed development, and performance training. His passion for helping athletes become stronger, faster, and more resilient has earned the trust of our families and coaching staff.
In his new role, Sam will lead all aspects of Pine Tar Academy’s performance programming, including:
* Developing and overseeing our year-round sports performance programs.
* Monitoring athlete health and workload during critical training periods and competitive seasons.
* Leading our winter and summer training programs to maximize athletic performance while helping reduce injury risk.
We’re excited for the future of our Sports Performance program under his leadership and look forward to continuing to provide our athletes with the highest level of training and development. Congratulations, Sam! 🙌
