Happy 3rd birthday to my love!!

This is my husband, my best friend and the best man I know (sporting our new shirts!)… and today is his 3rd birthday, in more ways than one. Jose is not only the best husband, father and friend I know, but he’s also the second half of our small business. He has been here through every step, working beside me, supporting me, getting bruises from ladders while doing arch installations.. you name it, he does it all!

3 years ago today, on May 15th 2020, while the world was in the beginning of a global pandemic, my husband was having his 2nd liver transplant at

He was the first to receive a liver transplant there at the beginning of Covid, as only the most essential surgeries were still taking place. His wonderful team there fought hard to get him on the transplant list quickly to save his life. Unfortunately, he has a very rare, recurring condition that causes cirrhosis with no reason or current cure. His first transplant was in 2014, while I was 2 months pregnant with our daughter. These two separate gifts of life, from incredible generosity of 2 donors and their loving families, have given him the opportunity to be with us every day and watch our daughter grow up. This is the most profound blessing, the gift of LIFE, that we are so immensely grateful for.

So today is his 3rd birthday.. as it’s 3 years since his last miraculous transplant and his 3rd gift of life from the moment of his birth.

If you are not already listed as a donor, I implore you to do so. You can also be a LIVING donor by gifting just a portion of your liver (it regenerates itself!) to help save someone else’s life.. like Jose. And give them the precious gift of being with their loved ones and watching their children grow! Every day is a gift and we will treasure each and every one.

Once upon a time, long before I was an event designer, I worked at a daycare. It was the mid-nineties and in my first infant class, I took care of a 3 month old baby girl, Alicia.

She was adorable. Had the cutest little smiles. Wore Baby Gap overalls and corduroy booties. Smelled like baby shampoo and fresh Downy. She was so smart and learned jazz hands to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by 8 months. And I fell in love with this sweet baby girl.

Her dear parents were kind enough to ask me to babysit her when they needed. Two & a half years later, they welcomed a baby boy to their family and he became my second baby love. And all this time, I was blessed to be their “babysitter” that grew into a lifelong family friendship.

I got to celebrate birthdays with them, enjoy vacations together, and all the other major milestones.. first communion, confirmation, high school graduation, college graduation.. to now her bridal shower! To watch a sweet, smart & loving girl grow into a beautiful and accomplished woman is the greatest gift this old babysitter could ever receive. In just a few short weeks, Alicia will marry her love.. and I’ll be crying happy tears in the background.

Enjoy EVERY moment, peeps. All of the milestones and celebrations.. and the whole rollercoaster ride in between it all. ❤️

Oh we had the most beautiful day for a June wedding!! Sunny skies, low humidity and some gorgeous white blooms of garden roses, hydrangea, lisianthus & vibrant green Italian ruscus!!

We are kicking off summer with the most vibrant & bold wedding yet!! I was THRILLED when our beautiful bride showed me her color palette of gorgeous jewel tones with hints of blush and a whimsical celestial vibe! Sign me up!!

We used a beautiful selection of dark blue delphinium, burgundy ranunculus & amaranthus, violet blue anemones, blush & lavender roses, blue thistle, freesia and so much more!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you sweet Mama’s! Thank you for letting help you celebrate the Mothers in your life! We hope every one of them looks at their flowers and know the love that sent them and the love that went into making them.

My 2 kiddos both helped me with delivering blooms to Mom’s and remind me every day that my job as their Mother is the best gig I’ll ever have.
