I met this bride and her mom at a bridal show and they were so excited to find out I create heirlooms out of the Mother of the Bride’s wedding gown.

When I was unpacking the matching gown (to make a getting ready robe) I fell in love with this headpiece but didn’t know exactly what I wanted to make from it. This purse idea popped into my head and I absolutely love how it turned out.

My favorite part- the button and loop I used to hold it closed is off of the wedding gown. Everything I need to create an heirloom product I almost always am able to get from the gown.

When you have 6 brothers you need to do a first look with them, of course.

did a dad first look and her brothers. Talk with your photographer and put someone in charge to round up everyone when it’s time.

During her consultation, this bride came in wanting her veil to be her heirloom statement piece. And oh my goodness, it definitely will be. She had a bridal vision and once this train was spread out the decision became easy on how to make it happen.

I had a hard time cutting this gown apart. One like this never came through my door so I wanted to make sure every elegant detail made it onto the robe. (The sleeves became a bouquet wrap.)

This robe will have the bride stepping into a mini wedding gown while getting her HMU done then stepping into her own elegant wedding gown.
