We want to take a moment to speak openly and honestly with you.
As of today, there is still nothing officially open at Asher Ridge Gathering Barn. That’s not where we expected to be at this point, and we know many of you have been asking questions, checking in, and wondering what’s happening behind the scenes.
The reality is this: we are navigating requirements and expectations that are being asked of us that many people — including professionals who regularly work with event spaces and barn venues — have said they’ve never seen applied in this way to similar properties. We’ve listened. We’ve adapted. We’ve revised plans. We’ve invested significant time, energy, and resources to respond thoughtfully and responsibly. And despite all of that effort, we’ve still found ourselves at a standstill.
That has been discouraging. It’s hard to keep momentum when you continue to do what’s asked, only to be met with more uncertainty and no clear path forward. We won’t pretend that hasn’t taken a toll.
But here’s what hasn’t changed.
We still believe deeply that an event and gathering space in west rural Rock County is not only appropriate — it’s needed. We believe there is value in having a place close to home where families can celebrate weddings, anniversaries, milestones, and meaningful moments without having to leave the community they love. A place that respects the land, honors the rural setting, and adds something positive rather than taking away.
We also believe that Asher Ridge Gathering Barn can be that place.
This has never been about rushing or cutting corners. From the beginning, our goal has been to do things the right way — to listen, to comply, to be good stewards of the property and thoughtful neighbors within the community. Even when progress feels slow or stalled, that commitment remains.
We are not giving up.
We’re continuing to have conversations, explore options, and advocate for a solution that allows this vision to move forward. While we don’t yet have clear answers or timelines to share, please know that the work is still happening, even when it’s not visible.
Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and the many messages reminding us why this matters. Your support has meant more than you know. Asher Ridge Gathering Barn is still very much alive in our hearts and plans — and we believe that when the doors do open, the journey to get there will have been worth it 🤍
More to come, and thank you for continuing to walk alongside us
