I survived Mother's Day week and my first big wedding of the season (I'll post pictures soon). I'm tired and I just want to couch rot. But I had some leftover flowers and decided to try out some foam free mechanics that I purchased. I don't know why but sometimes trying something new seems so intimidating anymore.
I'm not going to lie, foam is so easy to use. Stick a stem in and it stays in place. But micro plastics and all that. This pillow cage made me work. I definitely needed more greenery because even though there's a grid on it, you still need to create one with stems. After I got that in place my stems started to stay where I needed them.
This is definitely not my prettiest creation but for a first attempt at something new without any pre-planning, I'll call it a win. I'll get better and this will become seamless and second nature to use. Plus my conscience will feel better. Try the new thing I guess and be confident enough to admit it's not perfect but a work in progress.
