Our schnitzel sandwich is made w/ free-range, organic chicken breast brined in left-over whey from making our farmer’s cheese. It’s then topped with horseradish smetana, pickled onions, a veggie slaw, and preserved sour cherries for that full sweet/sour/savory effect 👨‍🍳😚👌(Always available gluten-free upon request too!)

Sara’s Honey Cake (Medovyk)

- layers of cookie-like cake baked with burnt wildflower honey and cinnamon, and coated with a smetana-based frosting to balance out more honey and kajmak caramel cream

Other than pączki, and due to CT’s large Ukrainian population, this has been by far our most requested dessert. We’re planning on only having half a dozen LARGE slices available for each of our outings because l’m so lucky my better half is hand-making these in her spare time and we will definitely not be selling whole cakes because it would kill her! 😆

🚨 Special for this Saturday (5/24) 🚨

Thanksgiving-inspired Krokiety

- Pan-fried buckwheat crepes stuffed w/ heritage turkey, honey-horseradish sweet potatoes, chard, sauerkraut, bacon, and mushrooms, served w/ our toasted black pepper and pickled cherry jam

Why this, why now? When you choose to support non-industrial meat producers, you join a network of small businesses that are exposed to a lot more volatility than other larger entities. In 2023, the had a low production year of heritage turkeys, their worst in 15 years. As a result, in 2024 committed to helping them raise an additional backup flock. But this time, it ended up being a banner year. We used turkey from that additional flock to make these krokiety for a “2nd Thanksgiving” Polish-style celebration during Memorial Day weekend—the halfway point between two very delicious holidays

Happy Earth Day, everyone!! We’re proud to compost with our friends at and always try our best to make better decisions about what we do environmentally. Since day one we’ve only used compostable cutlery and sauce containers from and have never used conventionally-farmed meat. With our Spring Menu revamp, comes our vegan, gluten-free salad made w/ lemon-elderflower dressing. We quick-pickle whatever veggies we can find and add in any tasty herbs we can snip from our garden ✂️🌿 As always, we finish with some crispy gf polonaise for texture. Proof that you can still find the perfect refreshing contrast to a meal even at a food truck 🚚😋

Always appreciate how as a venue comes up with themes and specials to keep things interesting and get me out of my comfort zone. This time it was “heat week” with the request to do something spicy with a cuisine that doesn’t usually use heat. These fried pickles with spicy smetana relish were a fun and delicious challenge 🌶️
