TWD Sample Sales have always been a good option to score a beautiful designer gown at a great price, and as an added bonus, there are no tariff fees on these dresses!

BUT, before you go running for the sale rack, you need to understand what a sample sale is and what to expect.

Sample gowns that are for sale are only a fraction of the options available to you from TWD, there are more silhouettes, fabric types, styles and designer options in our full collection.

Sample dresses have been tried on. This means that there is a little bit of wear and tear that happens during the trying-on process. None are in bad condition, but they will need to be cleaned and/or repaired. In many cases, we can do that for you free of charge!

Sample gowns are only available in one or maybe two sizes, typically a bridal size 10 (which is about a standard size 6) to 16 (standard 12), although TWD does have a wider range of bridal sizes than most boutiques, the sample for sale might not be the exact right size. Remember, alterations will help to achieve the perfect fit, but in some cases, it may not be recommended to buy a dress that is too small or too large, which may put it outside an adjustable range. Don’t worry, we are happy to help you determine what does or does not make sense from an alterations perspective.

Finally, gowns from our sample sale are an up-front purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis. We can’t hold them for you to think it over and come back.

Sample Sales are a love-at-first sight situation! You’ll need to be prepared to buy if you find THE gown and can’t stand the idea of walking away from it.

Brides-to-be! Here at TWD we know you need all the details to find your ideal dress within your budget. So many things affect the cost of buying your gown. And yes, one of those factors is tariffs.

What are the top factors affecting the price of your wedding gown, you ask?

Designer: every designer has a different price point, but some are going to be closer to $1200 and others are going to be closer to $3000. When choosing your designer, make sure they fit your budget!

Customization: changes to a standard design is going to increase your costs, as you plan your wedding budget. Make sure you account for any additional costs for customizing your dress.

Tariffs: Girl, that’s why we’re talking. Yes, tariffs are going to increase the cost of your dress. We want you to know that right now. For all new dress orders, we will have to charge a tariff fee. However, we want to be clear, if your dress doesn’t get charged a tariff, we’ll refund your fee.
