Some tiles feel easy to pass, but they cost you later.
Jokers are obvious. You can never pass them. But these are the ones players get wrong all the time.

Pairs. Think twice before you let one go. You can’t call for pairs, and jokers can’t fill them unless it’s for Mahjong. A pair is often worth more than anything you’ll get back.

Flowers. They show up all over the card. There’s a good chance your hand wants them.

And remember, your pass isn’t trash. It’s a delivery. Every tile you pass could build someone else’s hand. Before you slide those three tiles, ask yourself: would I want to get these?
