Bare with me as this is going to be a little long but we feel everyone deserves a see you soon, closer from us and our family❤️
We have been beyond blessed from the very beginning in 2008 when we opened our first food truck. Running a restaurant with 15-20 employees, raising 7 kids, and now having our grand babies living out of town has been the most challenging yet rewarding adventure we have accomplished in life thus far. With that being said~ We are ready for the next chapter as God has opened so many doors for each of us and we know we have to follow his lead in order to live the way he has planned for our today and our future tomorrows. We are putting all of our faith in him as he continues to guide us. We are working on finding a life with more simplicity, peace, and maybe even some time to travel, with the kids before they are all grown and we are not cool anymore. We have put our hearts and souls into owning our building and serving our community for the past 7 years but with that there are the pros and cons. Lots of missed moments with our children and now our granddaughter being the biggest factor for us personally. We have spent a lot of our days on pause because in our industry there is a lot of covering shifts, making repairs, and running in the fast lane 24/7 while meeting the demands of the industry. We have the best staff anyone could ask for so please know that they all have made us very proud however being the “Owners” comes with a whole other level of responsibility and with that our family has spent a lot of time on the back burner. Ya, know? Divide and conquer~ that has been our way for a very long time now and we have enjoyed every minute but now it’s time for us to slow down and enjoy the moments. Time to go back to being present for the little moments and let someone else have their turn doing what they love. It’s hard to explain but if you know you know. HOWEVER please know this~ We are not done~done… We will be around and when that time comes this will be the first place we go to keep you all updated. For now we want to go back to the way life was before the extra hard hi-demanding life style that comes with the brick and mortar. The dad and the boys have every intention of building out a new food truck and doing the things they truly enjoyed from day one… Picking the fun locations, traveling the world, kids playing at the fairs, meeting all walks of life, and slinging some of the best made up Jefe recipes available. All the events and fairs we use to enjoy with the kids by our side running around playing and enjoying life. The decision was not an easy one to make but we know for us it was the right one and at the right time. All in his timing, right? We have been so blessed with such great support from each and everyone of you and for that we are so thankful. God would not have presented us with this opportunity had he not known it’s what was best for our family in this season of life so we are trusting him. After spending some time praying over the opportunity and weighing the pros and cons of 2023/2024 we made the best choice for us as a family. This has been a total God thing!! He has lead us in the right directions thus far and we trust him and for that we are thankful for his guidance and the ability to listen even when we wanted to ignore the small opportunities he placed right in front of us over the past few years. He put us in places we needed to be so that we could make decisions we did not know we wanted to make, all while providing us with the greatest gift of all and that is time. Time to focus on our babies and ourselves. With all of that long drawn out “see ya soon” we want to ask you all as a community to continue to love and support our staff as they navigate through this change of ownership. Not much will change and we pray they continue to have great success for many more years to come!!
Today we hand the keys over~ Praying much love and success over the new owners and Crew…
