My dear sister and best friend Angie is going to be so dearly missed! She was so humble and generous. She had no idea of how many lives she touched with her grace. She worked quietly in her giving and never wanted any recognition for it! She was the most selfless woman I knew and had a huge impact on our community. Her love for her family and friends is immeasurable! We created so many great memories with The Tarnished Halo and they are going to always be kept close in my heart!

Today is bittersweet. 21 years ago, my sister Julie Hadden and I opened The Tarnished Halo. We never dreamed it would turn into the business it did. We have you, our loyal customers to thank for that! Thank you for all the love and support you have given us!

I would like to thank Julie for sticking with me for almost 19 years! I couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you to my husband, Nick; my kids, Alexa and Eric, and Nicholas and Manda; and my grandchildren, Rhett, Breck, Delilah and new little one on the way. You’ve always supported and encouraged me, even when I had to work instead of having fun!

Thank you to all my wonderful staff, both past and present. You all are the best, I treasure each of you!

It’s time to hand the store over to Celine Hall. It will have a new name, The Simple Company and Floral Shop, but she will provide the same great services as we have in the past. Please help me welcome her to Bridgeport’s Main Street!
