Hi everyone! I wanted to share a few updates:

📅 SESSION AVAILABILITY
— I still have WEEKDAY STUDIO availability between 9 AM – 2 PM.
— Outdoor and evening sessions are COMPLETELY BOOKED for the remainder of the year, but I’m now accepting outdoor bookings for 2026! Thank you for making this small local business such a success. ❤

My current editing turnaround time remains at 2 weeks.

🎄 CHRISTMAS MINIS
Christmas Mini Sessions will be held as usual this year on the following dates:
November 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st.

Got to hang out with one of my favorite families and capture some seriously sweet memories, even if we almost melted from the heat and the mosquitos tried to carry us off like a free snack buffet (the Hannel Family was not on the menu, thank you very much.)🦟🤣

Also, IN BREAKING NEWS, sweet little Miss Chesney Rose decided this was her moment to shine! For the first time ever, she was totally cooperative and served up the biggest, cheesiest grins like a tiny professional.

And let me tell you, nothing warms this photographer/Aunty Em heart more than when the boys show up pumped for their session and start busting out their own poses. I love turning sessions from “ugh, pictures” to “that was fun, can we do that again?!” 🥹

Something’s been weighing on my heart lately, and I just felt like I needed to share.

It’s been almost 10 years since I lost my dad, and not a day goes by that it doesn’t change the way I see time and the people I love. The last birthday I spent with him was my 30th, I was in a hospital room after having a major surgery. I had no idea that would be the last time I’d hear him sing happy birthday to me. That thought absolutely crushes me.

Since then, life has brought health struggles, milestones, and two amazing kids who have now grown up and graduated, navigating their next steps in adulthood and two more just starting their high school experiences. And in the middle of it all, I’ve poured every bit of myself into my work, something I truly love. But I’ve come to realize that in doing so, I’ve sometimes put my own family second. I’ve missed big events, birthday parties, weddings and times when my family and friends just needed me to be there. That’s not easy to admit, but it’s the truth.

As I get older, my heart is shifting. I’m learning that while my clients and career matter so much to me, they can’t come before the fleeting time I have with the people who I love the most.

So where does that leave me? Honestly, I don’t have all the answers. I know being booked out a year in advance isn’t ideal for anyone and I’m sorry that I’ve had to turn some clients away. It literally breaks my heart when I have to. I’m actively trying to find a better balance, something fair for both my amazingly loyal clients and my family. (Quitting is not on the bingo card!)

These adorable siblings showed all the way off for their Familys’ gym, New Image Family Fitness Center! Not only are they the cutest little gym buffs (even as newborns, they were flexin’!), but they’ve officially stepped into the spotlight as my newest model reps, and I truly cannot handle the cuteness. 😍
