Our Story
Welcome to Jersey Shore Paint Party! We are a local family business owned by Mother / Daughter team Michele Sotelo and Kaitlin Dowd. Founded in 2014 we were the Original “Paint and Sip” company at the Jersey Shore. We set up our website and posted our first Party at the River Rock Restaurant in Brick, hoping to sell 20 tickets and to our surprise we sold out in less than tw0 days. We filled up the rest of the room for that event and The River Rock added a date for the next month and then two dates a month after that, and two more, etc, etc. We grew to be hosted in over 80 Bars and Restaurants within six Months. We both begain working for JSPP full time and added artists and assistants to cover all the events. Those were the days of the Paint Party “Gold Rush” when everyone wanted to try their hand at painting oceans, sunflowers, owls and more fun subjects while drinking with friends! It was a whirlwind of Bars, Restaurants, People, Parties and Fundraisers and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Today the frenzy has passed and we have evolved to become more than just the usual Paint and Sip company. Today you can choose from many exciting art and craft workshops that are always changing.
Try one of our new Epoxy Resin Workshops and create a stunning Sea Glass Collage or Ocean Beach Heart. Make a custom stenciled wood sign with you choice of stains and colors. Paint a pair of colorful wine glasses or mason jars. Try one of our “Toddler Art Kits” and have a great time getting messy with your little one. Look for our seasonal home decor pieces and specialty craft workshops. We are always searching for new projects to inspire and entertain our customers, many we are now grateful to call friends :)
Art parties are a great way to get together with friends and family, have fun and share a new experience. Plus, you bring home a unique piece of original artwork! No experience is needed, just your willingness to relax, let go, follow along with our artist and enjoy yourself!
