This gorgeous build is for a client who’s celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! 💛 Teachers are often overlooked for their impact on students lives, even though sometimes they remember their pupils long after they leave the classroom.

My favorite teacher was . She was my art teacher in elementary school, and made such an impact - in my life as “just a kid” and also as a young artist. She was bright and funny, accepting and encouraging. She created an atmosphere where you could just “be”. It is such a tremendous blessing to be an adult practicing art as my career and I am so grateful for the passion she ignited all those years ago.

What teacher inspired you the most? Do they have anything to do with who you are today?

From “An Evening in The Heart”.

On Thursday 36 beautiful guests joined me and at Salinger’s Orchard for a French, fall inspired meal. We paired each course with incredible diverse wines with .m.a of .wines in Croton Falls.

Before dessert, discussed the passion and challenges of farming & cider making, rounding out the evening with having guests smell, hold and taste quince picked fresh from the orchard.

The evening was exquisite in every sense, and I am overcome and filled with gratitude. Tickets for this event sold out in 24 hours, and we are so looking forward to hosting again in the future.

for partnering on curating, cooking and composing each dish with me.
- my partner, for providing such a gorgeous space & story for this heartfelt occasion, and for constantly feeding the fire to my creative heart. wines for impeccable attention & intention on delivering each wine that was served.
for SO much behind the scenes help (& massive encouragement throughout the process).
for capturing the evening just the way my creative heart wanted it to be.

And to each and every ticket holder that came with an open mind and a hungry stomach - you are the light that makes this so special.

There are so many others to thank, and I am deeply moved by all of the excitement surround this dream of mine.

I’m still having a hard time getting over last weeks dinner. This was a new challenge for me, but something I cared so deeply about. Excited to share these photos from our special evening. They represent such growth to me - growth with my journey with food & entertaining. Growth in the friendships & relationships of everyone who supported and helped. Growth in my art.
Thank you, again and again and again.

Maybe we’ll set the table again in October 😊

1. Heirloom tomato & summer melon salad.
2. Truffle chicken liver mousse nests with local honey & goat cream.
3. Pork rillettes on chicharrón with pickled local corn & micro cilantro.
4. Crépinette with Mintersweet oysters on edible sand.
5. The “Bad Apple”. Salingers apple filled with boudin noir, crème fraîche, apple & onion.
6. Foie gras crème brûlée & a whipped Kunik cookie with strawberry, fig & balsamic compote.
