A few days late, but still worth sharing.

May has always been a special month for me. Not only is it Mental Health Awareness Month and Mother’s Day, it’s also Jaylen’s birthday month and the month I became a mom.

As I look back on May and celebrate Jaylen turning two, I’m reflecting on motherhood, mental health, and a powerful lesson I learned during one of his therapy sessions that reminded me why taking care of ourselves matters too.

Before April comes to a close, I wanted to share a personal part of our family journey as a mom. 🤍

April is Autism Awareness Month, and in December, our baby boy Jaylen was diagnosed with autism. Since then, our focus has been learning, growing, and supporting him in the ways that help him thrive.

This journey has brought so much awareness, patience, and gratitude into our lives—and continues to remind me how beautifully unique every child’s development is.

I’m learning every day what it means to slow down, pay attention, and celebrate progress in all its forms. 🤍
