SCAMMER SEASON IS UPON US, PEOPLE. 🚨
And some of these scams are so obvious it’s like they’re not even trying anymore.
Let’s break it down:

1. “No application needed!”
Babes… if they don’t want your business info, booth type, EIN, or literally anything besides your money?
That’s not a coordinator.
That’s a raccoon with WiFi.

2. “PAY RIGHT NOW OR YOU LOSE YOUR SPOT!!”
If someone is pressuring you harder than a used-car salesman hopped up on Monster Energy, run.
Real events don’t chase you like you’re the last donut in the breakroom.

3. Payment methods from the pits of chaos
If they’re asking you to pay via:
PayPal Friends & Family
Apple Pay
Facebook Pay
Carrier pigeon with cash taped to its leg
Huge. Red. Flag.
Always use PayPal Goods/Services, Square invoices, Stripe, or credit cards, something with protection. The only thing Friends & Family protects is the scammer’s pockets.

4. “Just email the coordinator at [email protected]”
Bestie. come on.
If the email looks like someone made it while eating Hot Cheetos at 2AM, it’s not legit.
Real events use real domains or recognizable business emails.

5. And then there’s....“Shanna Nicole.”
Two first names.
Zero credibility.
Infinite audacity.
If that isn’t a scammer NPC name, I don’t know what is.

BUT- here’s the plot twist:
Scammers are getting smarter. They’re stealing graphics, using event names, copying vendor lists, they’re basically becoming community-theatre FBI agents.
So yes, laugh. but also:
Stay vigilant.
Double-check BEFORE you pay.
Ask other vendors or the actual event page.

People have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars, for real.
Protect your bag, protect your booth, protect your peace.
The scammers may be bold, but you’re smarter than “Shanna Nicole Two-First-Names of ScamLantis.”
