Get your tickets for both days and come out and catch the final downforce race battles run this weekend as a spectator. Driver tickets only $99, all makes all models, all skill levels welcome. A Message from Caffeine and Octane on Lanier Raceway

We are incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past three years operating the Caffeine and Octane Lanier Raceway. During that time, we’ve hosted more than 350 events — over 200 of them drifting events — and built a passionate community around motorsports. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated crew, who showed up rain or shine, through cold winters and scorching summers, to keep everyone safe and ensure every guest had a great experience. Their hard work is reflected in the 450+ five-star reviews we’ve received — a true testament to their commitment.

Anyone who has ever owned a business knows how challenging it can be under the best circumstances. Operating a 3/8-mile oval track built in the 1980s came with its own unique hurdles. The biggest of those was the reality that we could typically only generate revenue two days a week. With just 52 weekends a year, about 10 were lost to rain, another 10 were too cold, and roughly 8 were uncomfortably hot — leaving a very limited window for events.

Maintenance costs were another uphill battle. A 40-year-old facility exposed to the elements 24/7 requires constant upkeep, and insuring a racetrack is notoriously expensive — with very few providers and extremely high premiums.

From the beginning, we knew that long-term sustainability would require diversifying revenue beyond drifting. While our Downforce Battles events were successful in spirit, the numbers never added up. Where drifting needed 60 drivers and 500 spectators to break even, we averaged : 35 - 50 drivers and 100–300 spectators. Late model racing was another avenue we explored, but the financial risk — especially with prize purses and high operating costs — was too great.

When we purchased the track, selling was never part of the plan. The property sits on 60 acres, though only about half of that is used for the track and parking. The remaining wooded acreage added significant costs without generating revenue. We always understood that for Lanier Raceway to thrive, it would need development beyond event revenue. Unfortunately, with today’s high interest rates, we simply couldn’t position ourselves to pursue those opportunities.

Ultimately, selling became our only viable path forward — and we’re genuinely excited about what’s next. We’ve found a buyer with the vision and resources to transform Lanier into a motorsports-centric destination, rather than warehouses or dense housing. Their plans are still taking shape, but there’s real hope that the track will continue to host exciting events for many years to come.

We want you to know we gave this everything we had over the last three years, and we are deeply grateful for the incredible support from the community. We share your disappointment. The silver lining is that Caffeine and Octane will now have the opportunity to expand into new cities and produce even more events — including drifting.

Our goal now is to finish strong. We’ve packed as many events as possible into these final weeks, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the track at least one more time.

Grandstand tickets are available for only $15 as well as tailgate Hillside view parking for an additional $10 per vehicle ( these parking passes will sell out).

The Caffeine and Exotics Car Show was developed by a group of individuals that are committed to creating a nationally recognized event dedicated to the passion and enthusiasm of exotic cars. C&E delivers an experience for private exotic car owners and exotic car fans in Atlanta that far exceeds expectations. Exhibiting a car is free, but this is an invite only event for exhibitors, so you must submit an application and be selected by management to reserve a spot at the show. Spectator admission to the show is $5 for ages 6 and over.
