Branford Jazz on the Green

All shows begin at 6:30 pm. For many years the Branford Recreation Department provided free Sunday afternoon concerts on the Branford Town Green.

Branford Jazz on the Green, presented by Premier Kia Subaru & Branford Parks and Recreation, is a free annual community Jazz concert series presented every Thursday night from June to August. Visitors could listen to everything from blues and country to big band and swing. Residents from the Community met with the board and suggested that the board could increase public interest by changing the mu

sical focus to jazz and changing the event to a weeknight when more people are likely to attend and in turn, stimulate the local economy. The Board agreed and a committee was formed to guide the inaugural event that would begin in the summer of 2009. This year we have nine shows in a row beginning on Thursday, June 29 and ending on Thursday, August 30. All shows will begin at 6:30 pm. Branford Jazz on the Green Series is presented by: Town of Branford ~ The Town of Branford Recreation Department ~ The Branford Festival Corporation.

~ David's self-produced music features him on keyboard, drums, and percussions, EWI (Electric Wind Instrument), drum programming and vocals. His swiftness on stage, unique round sound that is percussive yet soulful, and contagious smile have earned him the reputation as the “musician’s musician.” .~

DANCE ALONG TO THE MUSIC OR SIMPLY RELAX WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS ON THE GREEN! FOOD AND NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ARE PERMITTED. PLEASE BRING A CHAIR OR BLANKET TO SIT ON.

Our 2024 Branford Jazz on the Green Series returns THIS THURSDAY as Dan Pugach Big Band kicks off this amazing annual music series right on Town Green!

The 2024 Jazz Series runs every Thursday from June 27th to August 29th (skip July 4th) from roughly 6:30-8:30pm. The full lineup is shown below and on our website at BranfordJazz.com or BranfordRecreation.org

Please bring your own seating. Non-alcoholic drinks and food are permitted.
