Hi everyone!! It’s been awhile since we’ve done an introduction and have given a history of how Old Mill Venue came to be. My name is Kelsey and my husband’s name is Ben! We got engaged in April of 2020 at the beginning of COVID. We actually both had COVID at the time of our engagement, which was kind of crazy. Wedding planning during COVID definitely derailed a lot of our ideas and hopes for our wedding. In our search, we realized most venues were either too costly, had too many stipulations and/or weren’t as relaxed, which made our whole planning process pretty stressful and pricey. My mother actually came to us with an idea to remodel a pole barn that wasn’t being used on their property that was located on 50 acres of beautiful farm land in Brandenburg, KY. What started out as small adjustments being made to the building in order for our wedding to take place, turned into a full remodel and soon launch of Old Mill Venue in November of 2022! We wanted to create a beautiful, but affordable venue space with an open vendor policy and that’s just what we did. We’ve grown so much over the years and continue to change and grow. We have hosted so many lovely small and large events and have worked with so many wonderful couples and clients. We’re very thankful for what was given to us and how we’ve been able to grow it. Being a small business in a small town can be stressful at times, but we’ve been blessed by our communities support and are happy to continue to serve the great city of Brandenburg, KY and surrounding counties!
