on and want to enjoy an environment free of the stress of life, chill out at Kevin Matthews Pottery. Our glaze and colors are non-toxic and lead-free. The glazes normally wash out of clothes with no stains but dress appropriately you are in a working clay studio. There is no Studio Fee. The cost of the piece you pick covers all of your paint, use of design tools, and glazing and firing (this part Kevin does for you). Hundreds ceramic pieces that you pick to paint range from $3 on up, with most pieces being in the $12-$20 range. Your artistic piece will be ready in 5-10 days for you to pick up and enjoy. We also offer shipping or same day paint your own pottery for vacationers!!! Clay Dates are designed to give you and one other person unlimited private access to the studio during non-store hours, such as Thursday, Friday, or Saturday nights. The cost of a 2 person Private Clay Date is $45 for the first hour and $35 per hour thereafter, which includes: wheel use, clay and tools. An additional $15 per piece (about a pound of clay) for glazing and firing will be added if you decide to keep your masterpiece! Wheel lessons are designed to give one person unlimited access to the studio. The cost for a wheel lesson is $30 for the first hour and $20 per hour thereafter, which includes: wheel use, clay and tools.
