Braham Event Center The Braham Event Center offers a space to community organizations, private parties and businesses. The Braham Event Center is part of Tusen Tack Programs.

🐍 Snake Discovery

Join the East Central Regional Library as they kick off their Summer Discovery Program and Unearth a Story with a unique animal encounter presentate by Snake Discovery!

Participants will get to watch a salamander eat, debunk turtle myths, touch snakes, and more! Snake Discovery will bring a variety of animal friends which may include: a tiger salamander, 1-2 native turtles, 3-4 native snakes, and 2-4 exotic reptiles (just for fun!). A large boa constrictor might make an appearance, too!
The program is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

The Initiative Foundation will be visiting in June to present an award to all the volunteers of Tusen Tack Community Programs!! Please plan to join us for this free event on Wednesday, June 10 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, food included! See below for details and a link to register.

Tusen Tack Community Programs include the Tusen Tack Thrift Store, Braham Area Food Shelf, Alice Studt Library, Kathy's Kithchen (onsite caterer), and our Braham Event Center.

We’re excited to announce that the volunteers of Tusen Tack, including Tusen Tack Thrift Store and Braham Event Center, will be recognized with a 2026 Good Neighbor Honor during Your Good Ideas—A 40th Anniversary Gathering on June 10 at the Braham Event Center.

For years, Tusen Tack volunteers have worked quietly and tirelessly to support their community—an incredible example of what’s possible when people invest in one another. Tusen Tack's community programs also include the volunteer-staffed Braham Area Food Shelf, Alice Studt Library and Kathy's Kitchen.

Tusen Tack community program scholarship committee, was honored to present Megan Cronin (Cambridge/Isanti High School) and Kruse Johnson (Braham Area High School) each a $1,500 scholarship.

These scholarships are in recognition of their outstanding commitment to volunteering and service to others.

Their willingness to give their time, energy and compassion has made a difference within our organization and in our community. Their willingness to volunteer also reflects the very value of Tusen Tack community programs and why this scholarship was created. Through their volunteer efforts, they have demonstrated responsibility, kindness, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. These qualities set you apart as both students and role models.

Tusen tack programs are proud to support your educational journey and believe your dedication to service will continue to inspire those around you. This scholarship is not only a recognition of your past accomplishments, but also an investment in your future potential and the impact you will each make in your community and beyond.

The Central Minnesota Council on Aging is helping promote a free presentation by Dr. Joseph Gaugler from the University of Minnesota, focused on Alzheimer’s disease and supporting individuals experiencing memory loss.

Event Details:

· Date: Thursday, June 25, 2026

· Location: Braham Event Center, 655 8th St SW, Braham

· Session Times (identical presentations):

10:00–11:30 a.m. or 2:00–3:30 p.m.

· Cost: Free, no registration required

This presentation will cover how to recognize, prepare for, and manage Alzheimer’s disease. Resource tables will also be available, featuring community organizations and supports for caregivers and families.
