Heart of Texas Events Center

Heart of Texas Events Center A 300 Seat Events Center For Concerts, Family Reunions, Weddings and Other Events. The building has a stage and sound and lights can be provided.

The Heart of Texas Events Center is located on the San Angelo Highway in Brady, Texas. The building has tables and chairs available and can seat up to 300 in a concert or banquet setting and 250 for a dance. It is currently being used by the Heart of Texas Country Music Association for their various events, but is also available for renting. The building has been completely remodeled and boasts a

small kitchen area, beautiful outside deck, reception room and four seperate restroom facilities. The total space is 6,600 square feet. There is ample parking in the front plus four acres in the back of the building. The building is completely handicap accessible. The Heart of Texas Events Center is owned by Tracy and Charla Pitcox.

The Heart of Texas Country Music Association grew from the Hillbilly Hits Fan Club, a group established to promote the Hillbilly Hits Radio show from KNEL FM 95.3 in Brady. The traditional Country Music radio show is hosted by Tracy Pitcox and features requests and interviews with the legendary figures of the industry including George Jones, Willie Nelson, Kitty Wells, Ray Price, Bob Wills, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.

The association, which boasts 1,000 members, promotes the Llano Country Opry and Seguin shows at the Lantex and Texas Theaters. The organization has sponsored many Country Music entertainers at those venues including Ray Price, Gene Watson, Kitty Wells, John Conlee, Freddie Hart, the Geezinslaws and Jean Shepard among others. The group also plans various trips to Branson and Nashville and operates Heart of Texas Records with past projects by Tony Booth, Johnny Bush, Amber Digby, Landon Dodd, Dottsy, George Hamilton IV, Tommy Ho**er, Georgette Jones, Dallas Wayne, Bobby Lewis, Bobby G. Friday night, Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys will be performing live at the Heart of Texas Events Center for a dance from 8:00PM until 11:00PM. It’s BYOB and admission is only $20 at the door. The dances are all BYOB. Doors open an hour before any show or dance. The museum does have concessions at each event that includes setups, sodas, ice, popcorn, snacks and usually sandwiches.

We also conduct silent auctions that benefit our Heart of Texas Country Music Museum.

We do accept cash, checks and credit and debit cards for ticket, silent auction and merchandise sales. The concession stand is cash or check only.

The Concho Valley Transit provides free shuttle service throughout Brady, as well as to all the functions throughout the week. Just call them at (325) 245-3380 or (877) 947-8729 atleast thirty minutes before you want to depart or make a scheduled arrangement.
