We are so very thankful that our prayers have been answered for some desperately needed rain in addition to some much cooler weather!

Plus, we are also thankful to furry companions that help to remind us regularly that we all need to take breaks during our work days to eat and drink away from the weather.

We are so grateful for the cooler temperatures that we have had the last day or so. Hence, we have decided to try out another round of little herby cuttings under the mist now that they aren't so likely to swelter.

We have a fresh batch of potted grape plants that are now available for sale in the nursery. The varieties include Alden, Catawba, Delaware, Himrod, Niagara, Reliance, Somerset, St. Croix, St. Theresa, Red Swenson, and White Swenson. All plants were started as hardwood cuttings this year from mother plants right here in the Finger Lakes Region. If you have any further questions or would like to make an appointment to come shop in person, please reach out to us.

We have 3 cross bred billy goats for sale (with better photos this time). They are $275/each, cash.

The white and brown buckling was born 2/11/25. He is currently 70 lbs. His dam is 50% Boer and 50% Nubian/Alpine. His sire is mostly Boer with some Spanish blood. He has received his C, D, and T booster shot this July.

The brown bucklings are twins born on 2/10/25. They are currently 60 and 65 lbs. Their dam is a Saanen cross who milks 1/2 to 1 gal/day. The sire is mostly Boer with some Spanish blood. Both have been wormed and received their C, D, and T booster shots this July.

It's another car full of plants getting ready to head out to the Painted Post Farmers' Market tomorrow. Find us from 10 am to 2 pm in the Depot Museum park. We will have some fresh cut herbs in addition to our potted plants. Unfortunately, there won't be any flowers this week but there will be more later in the season. Please be sure to stop by and check out all of what we and the other vendors will have.

It seems to be the season for invertebrates. This Swallowtail butterfly caterpillar is living large in our last batch of parsley starts.

It looks like one of the types of butterfly w**d we grew this year in the nursery is monarch butterfly caterpillar approved 💚🌱🐛🦋

P.S. Please forgive our heavy breathing and blurry shots from this video, it's been one heck of a summer trying to get water to everything including our little butterfly w**d plants. 🥵💧
