SCF Bradenton Symphony Orchestra
Presents
A Musical Journey
April 16, 2026 7 p.m.
SCF Neel Performing Arts Center

Experience an evening of bold, expressive music with the SCF Bradenton Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Geoff Neuman. The program opens with Copland’s spirited Outdoor Overture and concludes with Gershwin’s vibrant An American in Paris.

A highlight of the evening features two outstanding student soloists: violinist Sameer Hamid performing the first movement of Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, and pianist Rael Lee performing the first movement of Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A Minor. Their performances showcase the artistry and excellence of SCF’s rising musicians.

The concert also includes a special appearance by brass quintet, performing selections by Puccini and Ewald.

PianoPalooza! 2026 was a full day of artistry, energy, and inspiration at SCF 🎹✨

This fifth PianoPalooza—founded and hosted by Don Bryn, Music Program Manager at SCF—continues to grow as a vibrant celebration of young pianists and the teachers who guide them. This year’s festival featured a dynamic student competition in partnership with the Sarasota Music Conservatory and executive director Lena Cambis, engaging masterclasses, and a wonderful winners’ recital.

We are grateful to our three dedicated judges and to the many volunteers—including SCF keyboard scholarship students and SMC supporters—who made the day possible.

Congratulations to all of our award winners:

1st Place ($400): Kai Deng (11th, Pine View) – Mozart, Turkish March
2nd Place ($300): Aiden Yue – Beethoven, Sonata Op. 31 No. 2 (Allegretto)
3rd Place ($200): Edoardo Ronchini (12th, LWR) – Scarlatti, Sonata K.141
