I ask couples during my design process what is something that tells your story or that is special to you? How can we incorporate it?
My favorite way to tell my couples' stories is through their signs: table numbers, welcome & bar signs, seating, etc.
I've selected fun custom signs that we've created.We do something unique for almost every wedding.
In the first seating sign, our couple were big fantasy/sci-fi fans. Rather than table numbers, we created their signs featuring some of their favorite locations in fantasy/sci-fi lit and/or movies.
The table names were places my couple had traveled together.
The blue bar sign featured elements from The Legend of Zelda. M & J were big fans.
The seating chart next was for a wedding that had a Nordic theme; the couple were into the history of the culture.
My husband, owner of the entertainment company A+ Entertains, actually designed & built this greenery wall DJ facade to match the greenery wall S & S had rented from us as a backdrop. We added the neon too.
R and C were big fans of Taylor Swift, so we used a line from one of her songs as the header for seating. Not shown was a sketch of them dancing, located on the second half of the sign.
The next 2 were from a beach wedding & the couple loved Disney World. We created beach glass place cards & their seating sign was a nod, or two, to Disney.
The next 3 signs were for M & T; we created every sign they had. Their story included both as fans of festivals, their seating sign mimicked a festival poster, table signs were names of festivals they'd attended, & with hops as part of their decor, we created the "punny" welcome.
A & N had euchre as part of their story. We created a fun sign for guests. Their welcome featured wildflowers, which tied into the reception floral.
M and T's sign featured a pop of baby's breath, tying in with the ceremony.
The next 3 featured travertine tile. The bride loved the look so we added it in a few spots.
Table names with classic lit is next. T & C were big readers! Loved that, as I am too.
Last, a sneak peek. This wedding is coming up! More to come for this. It's safe to say it's SO colorful! I cannot wait!

I've been looking forward to O & J's celebration for quite a while. Travertine tile elements? ✔️ Moss green floral linens? ✔️ and ✔️! Goblets, goblets, goblets? ✔️ ✔️ ✔️! And such a sweet couple to work with! This one "checked all of the boxes ".
When a couple puts their trust in us to make sure everything meets (and/or exceeds) their expectations, all of the time put into their design is absolutely worthwhile. And when you truly love what you do, it shows.
What an unforgettable collaboration with the two of you! Thank you for putting your trust in us.

I've got some time off until my next wedding, so I can start sharing the photos of this month's three weddings.
The first, a light and airy garden party style fete, also had some pops of rustic. Those touches with the pastel palette were so pretty! The light and dark contrasts really worked!

My most popular rental is no longer my gold vintage candlesticks, which are now in second place. I never thought I'd see the day!
Based on these pics from recent weddings, what do you see in every photo? Yesss! It's the vintage and vintage-style goblets! We are now adding them to almost every single wedding! Good thing we have an almost endless variety of them to choose from.
We carry an eclectic mix of clear, greens, pinks, purples, ambers, blues, greys, brown, red and more! We have colors and styles to compliment any event!

When O and J first reached out to me, they had a few ideas in mind for how they wanted their Big Day to look: a travertine tile backdrop for their welcome sign, floral linens in a green print (to match the bridesmaids' dresses no less!), and mixed greens (moss, olive and willow) elsewhere, plus gold accents. We added the pops of blush a bit later in tapers and floral.
I custom ordered the welcome sign and pulled in other travertine in their handmade (in-house!) table numbers and seating chart.
The mixed greens were accentuated in our napkins, goblets and ribbons throughout the room. Gold popped throughout the space with our flatware and chargers.
This lovely wedding was a dream to design and style! Thank you O and J for trusting in us! You were an absolute joy to work with!
And just WAIT until you see the custom arbor the bride's father built!

So I broke my own rule this month: only doing one to two weddings. September is three weddings in one week. But I just couldn't resist. A garden party style wedding, one that featured floral linens (my fave!), and one where BOOKS take center stage!
Here is a snippet from Wedding #1, M and T's light and airy wedding with pops of rustic. The color palette included dusty blue, sage green, blush and ivory. The Castle's mahogany chairs really complete the look.
All three weddings this month are at Castle Farms, my home away from home during wedding season.

My idea of a "first look" is probably very different than most people's. Mine is when my couple walks into the fully decorated space and their jaws drop and their faces just light up! Unfortunately, we've completed set up by then, and never get to see it in person. (I do always encourage my couples to wait until the room is complete before even peeking!)

This unforgettable couple and their big day will always stay with me. It was just that wonderful. Gorgeous colors, elegant choices and one of the sweetest couples I've ever worked with.

When A and N reached out to me for their Castle wedding last fall, one of the first details they shared with me was the vibrant color palette they had chosen. That palette was set for the florals, and it was now up to us to put the finishing touches on their vision. (And small world, I had also done the wedding of A and N's florist and her husband: !).

We kept the linens neutral and the colored tapers muted to let those vibrant flowers steal the show!

The couple and the colorful details made this wedding one of my favorites.

Season kicks off this weekend!
