On an almost perfect summer day, we are celebrating with C and H at Tapawingo.

While the breeze off the lake felt amazing, we did have to rearrange things a time or two. But lakeside weddings are still my absolute favorite! (My husband and I were married lakeside).

The star of today HAS to be the linen tablecloths. Our couple was very invested in their style and texture. Our gold flatware and gold-beaded chargers completed the tablesettings.

And the candle display where guests arrive? It was easily one of my favorite arrangements as far as outdoor candle set-ups. You can never have too many candles!

Other than the obvious (designing and styling beautiful weddings for our couples), one of the biggest benefits to owning a decor rental company? I can go out into the warehouse and pick out items to decorate for any holiday.
For Thanksgiving this year, I chose an earthy and warm style.
Items included: rattan chargers, a mixed set of napkins tied with twine, vintage goblets, copper flatware, ivory gauze over beige velvet linens, beechwood tapers with ivory LED flicker candles and a vintage amber glass vase with faux persimmons.
And of course, dinner was fabulous, especially when shared with family.
And special thanks to who hooked me up with the gorgeous linens!

This past weekend, we provided design, styling and décor rentals for the Castle Farms Grand Wedding Expo.

Our design featured the Knight's Castle divided in half, with one side a light and airy/garden party feel. This style is shown here.

This display allowed us to create tablescaping showing our tablesetting packages: the Superior, Michigan and Ontario.

Rental samples shown for various packages: our exclusive wooden garden chairs, table linens, napkins, chargers plates and table numbers.

The trailer and truck are locked and loaded for tomorrow's wedding. Lots of pampas-based dried arrangements, our greenery wall, our handmade arbor, handmade rust colored gauze runners, rattan chargers, lots of fall inspired tapers and more!
I can't wait for everyone to see A and T's rustic/vintage and fall inspired Big Day!

Where do I start with the sweetest couple ever and the most warm and welcoming family of.all.time?

I'll start where it all began: the ceremony.

Planning for the ceremony was easy. It had to be on the shore of Torch Lake, at M's mom's home. Everything was absolutely beautiful on its own, and certainly didn't need much.

The grooms opted for our circle arch, with some absolutely gorgeous arrangements from Syd at Upsy-Daisy Floral KNOCKED OUT of the park as usual. And the bouts for the grooms? Super cute! (That circle arch has never looked better, btw)!

Who We Are

I realized I had a "knack" for decor and design at an early age. When I was 10 and our family moved to a new house where I had a gigantic new bedroom (all to myself!), I proceeded to tear up the carpet to reveal hardwood floors. Next up was wallpapering the walls myself and then painting the ceiling. And of course, all of the colors had to "tie together". The bed was removed from the frame and placed on the floor so the bedding "puddled" nicely.

Through the years, I’ve always been the first person friends and family reach out to for design advice or inspiration. My parents' second home was a "blank slate" for me; taking a simple Cape Cod to a new level. No more cast iron tub and gold fixtures, oh no! The bathroom was completely gutted, using my design plans.

This love of interior design has continued to inspire me through the purchase of two homes, which I have almost completely redesigned and renovated. I am still trying to make time to repaint all of the bedrooms and bathrooms in the newest home...
