After watching countless weddings unfold, here are 5 things I would recommend to every couple before their big day:
1. Give ALL your vendors a timeline.
The more everyone knows where they need to be and when, the less likely you are to hear, “Where am I supposed to go?” or “What happens next?” You should be enjoying your day, not answering questions!
2. If a day-of coordinator is in the budget… DO IT.
Seriously. Worth. Every. Penny. 🙌🏼 Let them handle the questions, the timeline, and the little hiccups so you can stay present and enjoy every minute.
3. Start your ceremony a little later than the invitation says.
Because there’s ALWAYS someone running late (and you probably know exactly who they are). Giving yourself a little buffer can save you some unnecessary stress.
4. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Something will probably not go exactly according to plan and that’s okay! Nobody else knows what was “supposed” to happen. Embrace every moment, because the day truly flies by.
5. Bring an enclosed trailer for cleanup.
Trust me on this one. At the end of a long wedding day, having one place to toss all those decorations, boxes, totes, and random wedding-day items makes cleanup SO much easier!
At the end of the day, remember: you only get one wedding day. Soak it all in, have fun, and don’t let the little things steal your joy!🥂🤍
