I don’t think there are many things more “Boulder” than taking an outdoor yoga class at the park and seeing a yearling moose saunter by. It was a good day. :)

Organized the 60+ home Mapleton Hill Rummage Sale again this year with my wonderful neighbor Sandy Briggs! The streets were filled with thousands of beautiful people engaging in a circular economy, supporting various fundraisers, and just feeling the warmth and goodwill of community coming together on a beautiful summer day. I ❤️ Boulder. ☺️

"You and your partner are not only having a dance, a dance is having you. Both."
— Steve Paxton, 1939-2024

Oh my! So many dances have had me because of Steve and his co-surrenderers, together generating the form known as Contact Improvisation. So many friendships, so many dissolutions into bliss and amazement, so many nutritious and embodied discoveries, so many moments of maturation into a full mover and human have had me because of Steve Paxton and the continuous stream of intrepid explorers which have flowed forth from his clarity and openness. I’m so grateful to have swam in that stream so thoroughly that I became a part of it, part of the neighborhood of minds and bodies and beings unfolding this profound way of moving and being together. Thank you for having me, Contact Improvisation. Thank you for having me, Steve. Onward, towards the infinitely small dance!

My baby turned 8yrs old! So we celebrated by eating cake then threw an Open House for the public! The Boulder Healing Hub, LLC community is thriving with almost 150 members; amazing humans who do amazing work with their clients in our collective space everyday. And the Hub management team - led by Erica Ligon - brings so much care and true love to the project… I am filled with so much gratitude and awe. I love and keeping it both weird and healing oriented. :)

I organized the Mapleton Hill Rummage Sale again this year and truly nothing warms my heart more than to see a neighborhood out in the street interacting with each other in goodwill. Wholesomeness overload! Over 50 houses participated and our streets were filled with people finding treasures to love anew, and keep out of the landfill. Old friends ran into each other, kids sold some serious lemonade, neighbors met each other for the first time. And stuff like that. 💓

I *loved* this event as a participant when I lived on Mapleton Hill over a decade ago and it’s a part of what made me want to move back to this ‘hood a few years ago! So when I found out that the original organizer of the rummage sale was moving away and the event was going to die after 16 years because no one was taking it on… we’ll, I took it on! 😜

It’s a labor of love. I don’t get paid to do it and it’s a lot of work, probably 40 hours or so. I organize all of the sellers, create the public map and list of items being sold, and spread the word to the public, etc. And I hope to get some more help next year! But it’s a deep value of mine that traditions like this should be nourished… we need MORE things in our communities that bring us together, not less. And these kinds of grassroots happenings simply die without love and time and care. So, I’m on it. 😎
