🫏 Do Donkeys Act? (September 23–27)
Featuring poetic narration by Willem Dafoe, this unconventional documentary invites us to look and listen more closely as donkeys communicate, heal, and interact after experiencing human cruelty and neglect.

📚 Franz (September 23–26)
Director Agnieszka Holland offers a fresh perspective on the life and legacy of iconic Czech writer Franz Kafka in this kaleidoscopic biopic.

💃 Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema: Locals Only (September 23)
Colorado-based artists and dancers take center stage in a collection of screendances and experimental films exploring movement, environment, perception, and more.

🚗 Friday Night Weird: Idiots (September 25)
Two drivers transporting a wealthy teen to rehab find their simple job spiraling into a chaotic journey of drugs, danger, and crime.

Calling artists, arts organizations, and creative communities!

Have a project you’d like to bring to the Dairy? Our Co-Production Program connects artists with the spaces, resources, and professional support needed to bring compelling work to audiences.

Selected projects receive complimentary access to Dairy venues, plus technical production, box office, and front-of-house services, and support from our marketing and programming teams. We welcome ambitious ideas, emerging artists, established organizations, and projects that take creative risks.

Applications are accepted year-round, so you can submit a proposal whenever your project is ready.

The Dairy’s Co-Production Program is generously funded in part by the Women’s Giving Circle of the Dairy Arts Center.

Music at the Dairy presents Teddy Thompson
🗓 September 28 at 7 PM

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Teddy Thompson comes to the Dairy with music from his new album, Never Be The Same, his first collection of original material since 2020.

Called “one of the most gifted singer-songwriters of his generation” by The New York Times, Thompson brings his signature warm tenor and beautifully crafted songwriting to an evening exploring love, longing, and the passage of time.

Inspired by Fred Ross Sr., one of the most influential grassroots organizers of the 20th century, American Agitators explores the power of patience, deep listening, persistence, and collective action in creating lasting change.

From organizing Dust Bowl refugees and supporting Japanese Americans after incarceration to helping Mexican American and African American communities build political power, the documentary traces Ross’s legacy and asks what his approach to organizing can teach us today.
