As one of Seattle’s most popular and respected figures in dance music, Michael Smith a.k.a Mike Check has been in the industry since 1998. He sets the standard for mixing prowess and dance floor domination. Michael has the ability to appeal to diverse crowds with his exceptional mixing from his extensive music library. Having 13+ years experience as a professional DJ to his credit, Mike has played with some of the industry’s biggest acts. Mike has worked as a DJ manager for one of Seattle’s most cutting edge salon’s, where he has amassed a crew of the area’s most talented. He regularly spins around Seattle and has also traveled the country to play in the hottest clubs and electrifying music festivals. He has held multiple summer residences at nightclubs in the Greek islands as well. Over the years he has done countless weddings of all sizes, corporate events for many businesses, private parties, non-profits to fundraisers and birthdays. Starting In the Groove Events in 2010, he wanted to provide Seattle with the best DJ’s as well as a company that would uphold the standard to the best parties around. With that being said, we will provide you with the best experience possible. There is really not a party we can’t accommodate.
