29 YEARS! We love sharing photos of the lovely couples and wonderful weddings we host at Starlight Meadows. These are photos from our own wedding 29 years ago at Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood, WA. (We are so ancient, our album is not digitized so these are scanned...resolution is questionable on some.)

It was a beautiful and joyful day in a vintage garden! Our nieces and nephew are pictured along with the 1938 Chevy Brick started restoring when he was 13. We now rent the teal Chevy along with 3 other antique vehicles to our wedding couples.

Brick and I met in college and were each other's first love, then parted ways as we moved to different states to develop our careers. We met again by chance 10 years later, and realized we had found the right person and it was finally the right time. We raised two beautiful humans together, are still in love and are each other's best friend.

Who knew 29 years ago that we would eventually own a 7 acre property and host 80 events for other loving couples over the last 5 seasons...?

We like to say that "we're not in the wedding business, we're in the joy business"; the joy started HERE, 29 years ago...

WANDERING WILDFLOWERS... We were blown away by Karisa and Eythan's wildflower wedding style! created a stunning wildflower pathway into the ceremony and a floral wonderland throughout the reception.

K & E met in elementary school and became fast friends; we were so honored to help celebrate this friendship that became a forever love! The joyful colors reflected the love that shines so brightly between them, however their typically sunny outlooks were tested when a brief "kiss" of rain arrived during their ceremony. We quickly handed out umbrellas to guests, while K & E stayed cozy and dry under the tree canopy.

From the Starlight Store K & E chose our sage green chargers, napkins and runners, creating a minimalist color palette that gave the wildflower bud vases a starring role. They added our vintage brass candlesticks and water goblets for added elegance, while the delightful pet photos on Eythan's DIY table numbers brought whimsy and humor to each table.

It was a day to remember for so many reasons. Thank you Karisa and Eythan for choosing us! We hope love, laughter, and the joy of wildflowers are your companions wherever you wander.

HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY TO MICHAELA AND JAKE! Before we were officially open as a venue, and on one of the hottest June days on record, we had the joy of hosting and celebrating the marriage of Jake and Michaela. Their love and faith brought fresh air, energy, and joy to all who attended.

We'd lived next door to Michaela since she was 2 years old, and loved seeing her shine so beautifully with the handsome and charming Jake at her side. It was truly a family affair with sister-in-law Liane () creating wildflower explosions, styling the reception, and helping source the vintage rainbow goblets that sparkled at every table and as a take-home gift. After Michaela's 3 brothers took a turn on the dance floor with her in lieu of her father Mike who is no longer with us, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Michaela and Jake, thank you for choosing our (then quite humble) meadows to celebrate your love. We hope every day of these first 5 years has been filled with the same sunshine and unwavering joy as your wedding day.

HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY to Amanda and Sean!

Amanda and Sean were our first elopement couple in 2021, and such a joy to host. We loved their style, their story, and the great humor they showed when the rain came pouring. Tessa with captured so many beautiful moments despite the weather challenges. After 70 weddings these photos are still some of our favorites!

2021 was a difficult year for our family but Amanda and Sean brought the sun into our aching hearts on a rainy September day. We hope these first 5 years have been all you dreamed, and more. Thank you for choosing us!

WE HAVE STARS IN OUR EYES and mystical fairy forests in our dreams, after Kiya and John's wedding. We loved helping realize their vision. They hired Jessie to enshrine the Star Pavilion ceiling in greenery and white wisteria blossoms. It was so dreamy, we wish it could last all season long!

From the Starlight Store, Kiya and John chose our green chargers, moss green napkins, and antique brass "bobeche" napkin rings to accompany a dark green plate...the results were stunning! The DIY bud vase florals, our brass candlesticks and gold lanterns created a timeless focal point. We even harvested ferns from our property to add to the table's fairy forest feel.

Kiya and John's friends and family managed table setup so beautifully - what a team! We enjoyed witnessing the love and laughter all around. Owning a venue is more work than you can imagine, but events like this help us remember why we do it. Thank you John and Kiya for choosing us; we hope your life together is magical, mystical, and picture perfect!

NOT SO LONG AGO, IN A MEADOW NOT SO FAR AWAY, Asia and Mike got married...for the second time! Forced in 2020 to downsize their dream wedding, they chose Starlight Meadows to re-celebrate their love with big plans, a beautiful son, and a larger group of loved ones.

Asia and Mike had a unique vision from the start; a spiral chair arrangement with ceremony in the very center, purple everywhere possible (including guest attire), AI-designed reception tables, a glorious Princess Leia braid, and the theme from Star Wars for a grand entrance. Asia worked with the amazing DJ David (Bring on the Night Entertainment LLC ) to mix in popular song clips during her vows, that had guests surprised and smiling all the way through.

Everything came together; Asia's detailed plans ran smoothly, the weather was perfect, the clouds turned lavender as the sun set, and our meadows were filled with so much joy and laughter, the trees are still vibrating...we have stars in our eyes.

Thank you Asia and Mike for choosing us! We know your next chapter will be an epic and loving adventure because "The Force" is strong with you two. 💫💜💫

HAPPY 51st ANNIVERSARY to Betty and Bob!

We loved helping you celebrate your 50th Anniversary last August, and hope your 51st year together was the cherry on top!

It was an honor to help create this joyful day for their family and friends highlighting Betty's colorful, creative, curated style. Betty is a gifted floral designer who loves to thrift, so her tables were filled with blooms and treasures. The only thing better than holding an event on this perfect summer day, was working with Betty and Bob, witnessing the sparkle they still have for each other, and for a brief time being part of their beautiful village.

HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY to Levonne and Jason!

Levonne and Jason's peacock-colored palette set the stage for a colorful and beautiful event. We loved their style and their story - they met in junior high and were friends for years before choosing to tie the knot. Joy was in the air thanks to the lively guests...many of them longtime friends from their school days.

Levonne & Jason paired their peacock runners with the gold chargers and greenery from the Starlight Store. We loved that every place setting was adorned with a gorgeous feather. Simona Nicolau Photography really captured magical moments and created some of our favorite photos of the season!

WILDFLOWER COLORS & WONDERFUL WEATHER came together to create a magical wedding day for Lauren & Matt. The forecast called for rain, but after a small drizzle around 11am, the blue sky peaked through and the clouds became our friend, providing perfect light quality for photos.

We had SO MUCH FUN helping Lauren & Matt realize their wedding style. As guests arrived, the joyful color palette they chose was dramatically revealed in the chiffon arches we installed and throughout the reception tables filled with wildflowers. The green chargers, table runners and bud vases came from our Starlight Store, but the colored LED candles rented from Grit City Weddings + Events were the cherry on top. We could not love this look more!

Lauren drove up to the ceremony with style in our 1938 Chevy, and utilized our vintage suitcases for cards and gifts to create vintage/mid century feel. The delightful table numbers and sign graphics were all created by the bride.

Lauren and Matt, we hope your life together is filled with the easy, breezy, joyful energy you brought to this love celebration, and that every day is filled with color and joy. Thank you for choosing us!
