Fandom took over Boston! 🎉

What a weekend at FAN EXPO Boston 2026!

The Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center was filled with incredible cosplay, comics, anime, gaming, collectibles, celebrity guests, creators, and fans from across the region.

From browsing the show floor and discovering new treasures to playing games and celebrating favorite characters and fandoms, there was something around every corner.

Thank you to all the fans, creators, exhibitors, guests, and event staff who made this year's FAN EXPO Boston such a memorable weekend. We loved seeing the convention center come alive with so much creativity and excitement! 💙

Yesterday, Governor Maura Healey joined state and local leaders, community partners, and Massachusetts Convention Center Authority Interim Executive Director John Barros to announce a historic $93 million investment in the MassMutual Center.

This transformative investment will modernize the facility, enhance accessibility and the visitor experience, strengthen safety and operational infrastructure, and help position the MassMutual Center for continued success as a premier destination for conventions, sporting events, entertainment, and community gatherings.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority is grateful to Governor Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, the Massachusetts Legislature, Congressman Richard Neal, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, and our many partners whose collaboration made this investment possible.

We look forward to working together to ensure the MassMutual Center continues to drive economic growth and create lasting opportunities for Springfield and Western Massachusetts for generations to come.

Happy Independence Day!

To mark the United States’ 250th anniversary, the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center and the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center will be lit in red, white, and blue through July 5.
