The Lawn on D is a 2.7-acre outdoor experimental event landscape designed to draw audiences from across the city and bring a renewed vitality to the neighborhood through inspired, high-caliber programming and events. This innovative private and public space is designed to activate and engage the community, foster creativity and test opportunities for integrating the Boston Convention & Exhibition

Center (BCEC) into the urban fabric with arts, music, games, food & beverage and other community-driven programming.

Some sunnier news for the weekend ahead – we’re thrilled to welcome back Comanchero to the Lawn on D this Friday from 5 to 9 pm!

In their own words:

"Since 2003, Comanchero has crafted an Americana Jam Band sound that combines old traditions with new, Country with Rock, Bluegrass with Blues, H***y Tonk with Funk, and Roots with Rockabilly. While unique in their own sound, there is something strikingly familiar in Comanchero’s songs that weave influences from legends like The Allman Brothers and The Grateful Dead to today's contempories like Soul Coughing, Sturgill Simpson, and Government Mule."

Plus, on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm, Different StrokeZ is back playing “nuthin but the hits!”

We have a big (hopefully bright and sunny!) weekend ahead, with Americana jam band Comanchero performing on Friday night and Different StrokeZ playing your favorite classics & hits on Sunday afternoon. Pickleball is always free with equipment available to borrow, too!

is BACK! We can't wait for the Boston While Black 5th Annual Family Reunion, Saturday, July 26.

All are welcome to celebrate this day of Black joy, culture, and community! Activities will include main stage performances, roller skating, food trucks, photo moments, a Spades tournament, kids lawn, giveaways, and more. This year’s Family Reunion happens across two places—the Lawn on D and the Seaport District—with a shuttle between locations.

General admission is free with an RSVP. Member Passes, which add extra experiences to the Family Reunion, are available for purchase. Visit the BWB website (link in our bio) for more info.
