Boston is a city of firsts; the 1st public park, 1st subway, 1st telephone and of course the 1st murder mystery dinner theater, Mystery Cafe’ in 1988, 30 years ago. Like many of these other 1sts, Mystery Cafe’s success was spread with Mystery Cafe’s in Providence, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, San Diego, CA, Indianapolis, In, Columbus, OH, Canal Fulton OH, Seattle, WA, Orange County, CA, Richmond, VA, Tampa, Fl, Dallas, Tx, Houston, Tx, in Toronto, Canada and Copenhagen, Denmark. The Mystery Cafe started in Boston, well Cambridge when we created America’s very first murder mystery dinner theater 30+ years ago. It was a major hit (and still is).

We’ve entertained people every week for over 30 years and did our first mansion mystery in Los Angeles, CA at the Pl***oy Mansion. We’ve had famous guest starts including James Earl Jones and Mystery Cafe actors who have become famous such as Broadway’s Mary Faber and American Idol’s Constantine Mavroulas. Ever since 1988, the creative team at Mystery Café has been dreaming up incredible experiences for groups of all shapes and sizes.
